This is the most common type of magic. Most mages have the affinity for at least one element.
Fire- A magic often associated fury and destruction. Those with a strong affinity for fire
tend to be hotheaded and stubborn.
Water/ice- This element is somewhat odd in that those who have an affinity for it are generally stronger in one side of it than the other. Water is often used to heal or defend and its users tend to be kind. Ice is mainly used for offense and it's users are often cold and calculating.
Wind- Those with an affinity for wind are usually calm, but fierce when angered. This element is mainly used for offense and is often used with a weapon such as a fan or a quarter staff.
Earth- Earth is generally associated with heartiness and strength of will. It can be used for both offense and defense and can be paired with weapons such as hammers.
Electricity- Those with an affinity for this element are often erratic and energetic. Electricity is thought by most to be difficult to control, but, in truth, it is the users who lack the discipline needed to tame it.
Light- An element often associated with goodness and healing. However, light can be used for great harm as much as it can be used to heal. Bending light may also be used to create complex illusions that confuse foes.
Darkness- An element that is thought by many to be evil. Darkness can be used to blind and hinder, but also to protect.
I delved into my brain again and thought that it would probably be a good idea to describe the types of magic that I have gathered from my own thoughts and from others. I knew that I'd likely forget something if I didn't write it and it REALLY helps to write things like this when I go to write a story or explain my ideas to others. Anyway, I'll have a few more entries just like this up as well.
